Touching Lives with Integrative Therapies: Redefining the Northern New York Cancer Care Experience

Our Mission

The mission of the Compassionate Care™ Foundation (CCF) is to provide our North Country cancer community with access to complementary, integrative therapies that improve quality of life and the cancer care experience.

Integrative cancer care employs complementary therapies, like massage, acupuncture, yoga, meditation and reiki, that work in tandem with conventional medicine to treat the whole person — mind, body and spirit.

Integrative Cancer Care

Integrative cancer care aims to optimize health, quality of life and clinical outcomes across the cancer continuum. It empowers individuals by encouraging them to become active participants in their health; before, during, and beyond cancer treatment.

Integrative therapies should be accessible to all cancer patients at the initiation of their treatment and should continue to be available throughout their entire journey, whether it's focused on a curative approach, disease control, or providing comfort. Regardless of the stage of the disease, these therapies continue to provide valuable benefits.

Changing the cancer care experience

I can’t say enough about how this program has helped me get through the worst struggle of my life and provided me with many tools to get back to living.
